It happened at 6:19 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 16 on the 400 block of North 5th Street in Millville, according to Millville police.
A 13-year-old boy was injured in the shooting and airlifted to Cooper University Hospital where he was treated and released, police said. A 14-year-old boy from Millville was taken into custody, according to the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office.
He was charged with weapons offenses, police said, and was being held pending a detention hearing. The incident posed no threat to the general public and remains under investigation.
